Putting a Bandage on Your Brand

It's funny what you notice when you work in facilities. I am working remotely today, and I saw this.

This is a nice place. They have a product people love. You would no doubt hang out here. But, when you go use the restroom, you see this.

Look, I get it. It's impossible to see everything and know about everything. Facilities managers can't be everywhere, and they shouldn't have to be.

My point is...this place trusted a vendor to fix this, but received this instead. They put a bandage on it instead of doing plastic surgery. They did the easy thing instead of doing the right thing. Most likely, they chose profit over building trust.

And the brand suffers.

How often is this happening to you? More importantly, what are you doing to stop it?
