Earlier this week, I watched an excellent TED Talk by Simon Sinek. In his talk, he discussed his model for doing business and inspiring others to take action.
The model is simple, made up of three parts: What, How, and Why. "What" is the product that a company offers. "How" is how they do what they do, and "Why" is the reason for everything they do.
He goes on to explain that, while many people know the "What" and "How" of their work, they rarely take time to understand the most important part, which is the "Why".
Why does your company do what it does?
This question is essential to ask before anything else. If you don't answer this question, you will be left trying to sell just another product to someone who will likely not even buy it because they don't have a shared belief or passion in your cause.
We live in a world that is so technologically advanced and full of options that you will be passed over time and time again if you do not offer the one thing that people are hungry to find, which is authenticity.
People who are only interested in making a profit will find themselves burning out quickly when they find that money is not what drives people to true success.
Rather, it is shared passion and authentic connection with people which builds the bridges to achieving our dreams.
So, Why does Envoy do what we do? I'm glad you asked.

I am filled with thankfulness every day since I was given the opportunity to work for such an incredible group of people. I have grown in my ability to work in marketing and sales, I have grown individually, and my family has benefited in every way because of the effort this company makes to take care of each other.
