Be a Boss Who Cares

Why do we get up and go to work everyday?

For a good number of people (maybe even the majority, though I don't want to assume), working is simply a means of survival.

You don't work, you don't get paid. You don't get paid, you don't eat. 

Right?

There are others, though, who work for more reasons than to simply make a living.

These reasons can vary.

Some people work to find fulfillment. Others work to make the lives of others better. Some people even find simple enjoyment in working.

I think it's safe to say that the jobs which people enjoy the most are jobs where bosses care for and treat their employees well.

These bosses invest into their employees to help them improve, rather than react with anger toward mistakes.

They take time to talk one-on-one with their employees so they can understand them and help them reach their goals.

They are patient for growth, but also intentional about providing accountability for their team. And they don't do this using scare tactics - they use positive reinforcement to help their employees grow.

Be a boss who cares.

When you care, so do your employees. 

When everyone on your team cares, your company becomes more and more successful.
