Privacy & Terms of Use

Effective October 14, 2026 · Terms version 2026-10-14

Privacy PolicyTerms of Use

Privacy Policy

Envoy Facilities Maintenance, LLC operates the Envoy publication and its reader accounts. This notice covers our free articles, prompts, guides, saved reading, and optional emails. Our publication is intended for adults working with United States-based businesses. A separately purchased product or service may have its own agreement and privacy notice.

What we collect and why

When you request an account or sign in, we process your email address, verification requests, member identifier, and session information to verify your mailbox and protect access. New-account Terms acceptance records include the accepted version and time. We record your separate email preference and its scope so we can honor your choice.

Your saved articles, highlights, notes, and article history are associated with your verified reader account. When you read an article while signed in, we automatically save that article to your private reading history. We use this information to provide your library and reading tools. We do not use your private notes, highlights, or reading selections for marketing profiling or to train AI models. They are not public comments.

Our own public-page reporting stores daily page paths and counts, which expire after 90 days. Hosting and security services also process technical information, such as IP addresses, request details, and device or browser information, to deliver the site, investigate problems, and prevent abuse. Cloudflare provides separate performance measurement; its current configuration excludes EU visitor beacon injection. That measurement can include account and staff page paths and is distinct from our aggregate public-page counts.

Cookies and browser storage

Our reader sign-in cookie keeps your account authenticated. It is restricted to this site, inaccessible to page scripts, sent over HTTPS, and expires after 30 days unless you sign out sooner. Signing out revokes that session. Necessary security services may use their own security cookies when protecting requests.

If you choose an appearance, your browser remembers your light, dark, or system preference in local storage until you change it or clear browser data. We do not enable Ghost's member-source attribution tracking or advertising and remarketing pixels. Cloudflare's reviewed performance beacon does not use cookies or browser storage for analytics. We reassess consent requirements before introducing different tracking technologies.

Optional newsletter and promotional emails

You can create an account without subscribing. A separate optional choice lets you receive Envoy newsletter articles and promotional emails about products and services offered by Envoy Facilities Maintenance, LLC. Signing in or accepting the Terms does not subscribe you. Existing articles-only consent does not authorize broader promotional use without a new choice.

You can change your email choice in your account or unsubscribe using an email's unsubscribe link. Opting out keeps your account and saved reading. We may still send requested sign-in links and essential account or security messages. Links to our products and services do not automatically transfer your account or subscribe you to another list.

Providers and disclosures

We do not sell reader information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use Ghost publishing and membership software. Our service providers include DigitalOcean for hosting and backups, Cloudflare for delivery, access protection, and performance, Resend for email delivery, and Google Workspace for correspondence. Search and content helpers may be served through external CDNs, including jsDelivr, whose requests expose ordinary connection information to those providers.

We disclose information as needed to operate these services, meet legal obligations, respond to valid legal process, protect people and the site, or complete a business reorganization. A successor must handle information consistently with this notice or give notice of a change where required. We do not promise that information is never processed by another organization.

Your controls and requests

In your account, you can export saved reading, remove individual saved items, clear article history, change email preferences, and request deletion using the available account controls. Deleting saved reading alone leaves your publication account intact. Combined account closure removes membership and private reading through a supervised completion process. Changing your email requires proof of both mailboxes; staff cannot bypass that protection to hand private notes to another address.

For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or help with account closure, email hello@envoyfm.com. We may need to verify your identity. Rights and response requirements depend on the laws that apply to your request; we honor applicable rights without promising a mailbox-proof override or rights that do not apply.

Retention and security

We retain account information and saved reading while needed to provide your account or until you authorize removal. Consent and Terms records support your account and our obligations. Short-lived sign-in challenges expire after five minutes. Technical logs, email delivery records, and security records have separate operational retention and are not all erased when you sign out.

Routine backup snapshots are retained for 30 days. Deletion does not immediately erase every backup; our restore process uses separately retained privacy records to honor completed deletions and session revocations. Minimal deletion receipts, suppression information, and records needed for security, legal obligations, or disputes may be kept separately for those purposes. We limit access and use technical safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

Audience, location, and changes

This site is intended for adults, not children under 18. Do not create an account if you are under 18. We operate from the United States and providers may process information there or in other countries where they operate. We review applicable requirements if our audience, targeting, or processing changes. Mere access from another country does not mean every legal regime applies or that none does.

We will post changes here with an updated effective date and provide additional notice when required. Contact Envoy Facilities Maintenance, LLC at hello@envoyfm.com or 1100 Market St Suite 614, Chattanooga, TN 37402.

Terms of Use

These Terms govern the free Envoy publication, reader accounts, and resources provided by Envoy Facilities Maintenance, LLC. New accounts require your explicit agreement after mailbox verification. A purchase of another Envoy product or service is governed by its applicable agreement.

Accounts and responsible use

You must be at least 18 and provide an email address you control. Keep sign-in links private, use only your own account, and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Do not access another reader's information, interfere with the site, distribute malware, scrape private account data, impersonate others, or use our services unlawfully. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security, or legal obligations.

Educational material and AI

Our articles, examples, guides, prompts, and AI-related material are general education. Reading them does not create a professional advisory relationship or a promise of business results. They may contain errors, become outdated, or be unsuitable for your circumstances. AI outputs can be incorrect or incomplete even when they appear confident.

You are responsible for evaluating material and outputs before using them. Use qualified professionals and the relevant standards, manufacturer instructions, and site conditions for consequential facilities, safety, legal, financial, or technical decisions. Do not enter confidential or personal information into third-party AI tools without appropriate authority and safeguards.

Content and resource permissions

We and our contributors retain rights in the publication, artwork, branding, and resources. You may read, share links, quote limited excerpts with attribution as allowed by law, and adapt our free prompts and guides for your own work. Unless a resource says otherwise, this permission does not allow resale, republishing whole resources, mass redistribution, or implying our endorsement. Ask us about other uses. Third-party content keeps its own applicable rights.

You retain ownership of your private notes and other reader-created material. You give us only the permission needed to store, back up, display to you, export, and delete that material while operating the reading tools. This permission does not allow us to sell it, use it for marketing profiling, or train AI models on it. Do not store material you lack permission to use.

Links and service availability

Third-party websites and tools have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability or outputs. We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue site features. Export saved reading you need to keep. We do not promise uninterrupted access or permanent availability of every article or feature.

Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site and its materials are provided as available, without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or noninfringement. We do not guarantee that following an article or using a prompt will achieve a particular outcome.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Envoy Facilities Maintenance, LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the site, including lost profits or business interruption. This does not exclude responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability or rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

Governing law and updates

Georgia law governs these Terms, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to any mandatory rights or laws that apply. Please contact us first about a concern so we can try to resolve it.

We will post revisions with a new version and effective date and provide notice or request renewed agreement when required. Routine returning-reader sign-in does not record a new acceptance. Questions can be sent to hello@envoyfm.com or Envoy Facilities Maintenance, LLC, 1100 Market St Suite 614, Chattanooga, TN 37402.
